About Allara:

Allara is a specialty care platform built for millions of people living with complex, hormonal and gynecologic conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis. Allara makes expert healthcare accessible online by connecting patients with qualified medical practitioners and Registered Dietitians who have a deep understanding of hormonal and metabolic care. Allara is backed by leading investors including GV (Google Ventures).

About the role:

As the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations, you will build a team to manage all the day-to-day operations of our Provider and Care Concierge Teams. Clinical Operations includes oversight of the providers on Allara (OB/GYNs, Endocrinologists, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners, and Registered Dietitians), ensuring high quality patient-provider interactions, and securing necessary staffing levels for our rapid expansion.

The Provider team includes leadership from a Lead Dietitian and a Medical Director to support the ongoing training, management, and mentorship of providers on the platform. The Care Concierge team services both our patients and providers 7 days a week - supporting real-time inbound and outbound needs, care plan scheduling and follow-up, navigation of our offerings, inbox management, and issue resolution. You'll be focused on streamlining daily operations while building for sustainability at scale.

The Clinical Operations team also includes a dedicated Clinical Recruiter to own sourcing and hiring of new providers and a Clinical Operations Associate to own the end-to-end provider experience. The Senior Manager of Clinical Operations is an essential leader in driving strategies to help us maintain our exceptional quality of care and high patient satisfaction as we scale and work towards profitability.

Key responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Head of Operations, develop key departmental metrics and reporting to effectively manage team resources, create forecasts and set staffing targets against SLAs and rapid expansion goals
  • Oversee the daily operations: track, monitor and manage Provider and Care Concierge team performance, making operational adjustments in real time to meet SLAs. Define and track key performance indicators, and establish productivity measures to achieve operational excellence
  • Own Provider workflows, identifying opportunities to drive efficiency while ensuring a high degree of collaboration between specialties and meeting our standards of patient-centered care
  • Partner with Clinical Leadership to design and implement training and guidance to drive patient outcomes, including revisiting care pathways (i.e., cadence of visits, patients on GLP-1s) and expansion of care offerings (i.e., new conditions, partnership pilots)
  • Identify, scope and analyze areas for operational improvement within the Provider and Care Concierge organizations. In collaboration with Product, implement solutions that will support the team as we scale.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a strong team culture to drive high employee performance, engagement, and retention
  • Ensure our Practice is compliant with all regulatory requirements (i.e., internal credentialing, supervisory agreements, maintaining active licensure) and work closely with our Payer team to ensure timely external credentialing and enrollment process
  • Keep a pulse on the patient experience and surface insights from “frontline” teams
  • Interface with department leads to ensure processes support current needs and operations

  • 6-10 years relevant operational experience, with experience in healthcare, ideally a large scale multi-speciality provider organization or multi-specialty medical group practice
  • 3+ years of managing large teams (10+) including full-time and part-time staff
  • Track record of successfully leading and scaling multiple teams while executing strategic initiatives to drive business growth and operational excellence
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial, flexible, self-starter with a lean mindset and an outstanding ability to execute
  • Excellent critical thinking and experience making data-driven decisions
  • Effective communicator who works to establish trust and team buy-in
  • Experience with early stage venture-backed companies and/or telehealth a plus

  • Estimated salary: $130,000-$150,000
  • Medical/Dental/Vision
  • 401(k)
  • Unlimited PTO
